Carpentaria Marine Services takes pride in supporting the communities we live, work and operate in. Our Managing Director Vance Wallin is widely respected across Cape York for his extensive volunteer contributions, which include deploying teams, vessels and equipment to assist community and not-for-profit groups. In recognition of his efforts, Vance was named Citizen of the Year for Weipa in 2012. Under his leadership, our team is dedicated to providing valuable community support beyond employment and training opportunities, for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals. We actively contribute to local initiatives and some recent sponsorships include the Relay for Life, Weipa Bull Ride, Weipa Go Kart Racing, Weipa Fishing Classic and various school sports events across regional communities. Through these efforts, we remain committed to fostering strong community connections and making a positive impact wherever we operate.
